1 killed in 2-car Pennsylvania accident
Unfortunately, car accidents in Portland, OR occur very frequently. It is not unlikely that many Philadelphia residents either have or will be involved in a car accident at some point in their lives. In a recent Pennsylvania case, a two-car collision left one person dead and two others with serious injuries.
According to police, the deadly accident occurred shortly after 11 p.m. Tuesday night. The man who died was a passenger in a car that was making a left turn. The car reportedly turned into the path of an oncoming vehicle, resulting in the fatal collision. The accident report said the crash caused both cars to spin.
The 20-year-old passenger was killed in the accident and the driver, also 20, sustained significant injuries including broken bones. The driver of the second vehicle was also seriously injured. Both drivers were transported to nearby hospitals for treatment. Police reported that neither 20-year-old was wearing a seat belt.
As this accident shows, car accidents and other motor vehicle accidents often have serious consequences. In this case, a young person’s life was instantly cut short. When a person is killed suddenly and unexpectedly, it often affects the lives of many people. It is devastating for that person’s friends and family members. If the deceased has a spouse or a child, the spouse is left without a partner and a child without a parent.
Situations like this can be confusing and overwhelming. Often the family members and friends of car accident victims feel that someone should be held accountable. Strong cases can be built to obtain compensation for injuries or death in a car accident.
