Philadelphia man hits young boy with his truck
Philadelphia pedestrians and motorists expect that other drivers are operating their vehicles in a safe manner. Drivers who are negligent put others on and near the road in serious danger. Whether they are talking on a phone, texting or fiddling with the radio, these drivers can cause car accidents that may leave themselves and others in serious condition. In a recent Philadelphia accident, a young boy was taken to a hospital after being hit by an oncoming truck.
Last week, an 81-year-old man from northern Philadelphia ran into a 10-year-old boy with his truck. According to authorities, the young boy had jumped over a nearby fence and started running across the street. The man was traveling east in his truck when he collided with the boy in the middle of the road.
The boy was taken to a local children’s hospital. He reportedly received treatment for critical injuries and is now in stable condition. Police said there were no signs that drugs or alcohol influenced the accident.
